I have been told that America looks ahead to the next financial quarter, Japan looks ahead to the next 100 years, and China looks ahead to the next 1000 years.
China and the USA are tightly woven together in the new global economy. There is no point in armed conflict between us, either directly or by proxy.
If the USA is ever defeated, it will be by its own hand. The global economy is not controlled by a switch that anyone can turn off; it’s there and growing no matter what anyone thinks about it. There are two choices: 1. Get on board and run with it, or 2. Reject it, be left behind, and end up in the forgotten dustbin of history.
